Proudly setting out its stall slap bang in the middle of St James' Street, Bulldog is Brighton's oldest gay bar having had its doors open for over 25 years.
A heady mix of very reasonably priced beer and testosterone, this is a venue where men are men and chickens run scared. One or two laydees do venture in, but it is mainly for gay men of all descriptions and is a natural after-work venue, pre-club pub and venue in its own right. It's pretty much a pitstop for all. Regular events and entertainment make it popular with the locals, but visitors to Brighton can rarely resist a visit.
